Kha is located in Singapore’s HortPark, and has an ideal combination of interior and alfresco dining. The interiors of Kha are by Wei Tan of Suite Interior Design – who has created a delightful juxtaposition between modern and rustic, infusing natural finishes and Thai touches with chic glossy surfaces. High gloss dark wood walls are softened with rustic teak flooring and raw cement surfaces, all to exude relaxation and natural elegance. To highlight the interiors, custom made flower pendant lights in a black glossy and mirror finish create a focal point in the restaurant.
An imposing two-metre antique bronze Buddha greets guests to the 140-seat restaurant, while the walk way to the dining area is lined by a high gloss dark wood partition. Adding bursts of colour in the main restaurant space are naturally-oiled teak chairs upholstered in Maharam fabric, including one by Paul Smith, with patterned stripes and flower motifs. The interiors are complimented by a sheltered verandah area allowing for outdoor dining. Outdoor timber deck and soft landscaping with bamboo and other tall plants are adopted to create a relaxed, cool and pleasant atmosphere for diners. Otherwise, one can relax in lounge or dining seats along the 40m outdoor deck which overlooks the landscaping of HortPark, and is a perfect space to watch the sunset.
Kha is perfect for relaxing over a lunch or dinner of Thai delights or to indulge in one of their sensational cocktails on the outdoor deck by the water feature pond which adds to the beauty of the already mesmerizing landscape. It is also an ideal and unique venue for weddings and private events.
